Through my exploration of various schools of yoga, I found that there is so much more than the physical postures that we know and practice as yoga. Particularly the Eastern based traditional styles, I found were not just about the postures in each class, but about discovery and connection. It was about creating and deepening the connections with your own breath, body, emotions, and relationships. I believe that each time you practice yoga, you are able to discover things about yourself, and with a thorough practice, gain a clearer mind and understanding of your individual journey in this world. I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Certification through Power Warrior Yoga School with Meg Horan in the school of Bhakti Yoga, which is the yoga of devotion. My intention is to guide people through a mindful asana practice while teaching the use of breath as a tool to clear blockages in their bodies and minds. Each class is based in love and listening to your own inner teacher, with the goal of walking off of your mat with increased acceptance, compassion, self worth, humility, and overall awareness.
